Ohio Status
Presby Environmental, Inc., Welcomes the State of Ohio!
At this time, Presby Environmental is working toward an Ohio State approval. In the interim, those county health departments who wish to have the Enviro-Septic® System installed in their county must apply to the State for “Experimental Concurrence Approval”. Up to 25 Enviro-Septic® installations may be permitted upon receipt of Experimental Concurrance Approval. The county may re-apply for more systems to be installed.
The following counties have applied for and received Experimental Concurrance Approval:
- Paulding
- Putnam
- Van Wert
- Brown (Pending)
- Cleremont (Approval for use in repair situations and those systems will be designed by those at the county level.)
- Defiance
These counties have applied for Experimental Concurrence Approval because the Enviro-Septic® System is able to provide superior treatment capability that protects both the soils and the groundwater while offering a smaller footprint, design flexibility, an and affordable price. Until a State approval is granted, Indiana sizing may be used in experimental concurrence systems. Please refer to the Indiana Manual below for design and installation. In the event a State approval is granted, an Ohio Manual will be generated.
Certification Required
We require individuals who wish to design or install an Enviro-Septic® System be certified by attending the Enviro-Septic® Design and Installation Certification Class. The class offers various design and installation configurations, troubleshooting techniques and tricks of the trade. Until a state approval is granted, the Indiana certification presentation will be used for Ohio designers and installers.
